Philosophy, I have started my study.
I have started the PHIL220 Class of philosophy here at CUC, I was assigned to read chapter 10 the other day and I came across something funny. The textbook we are using is titled “Fundamentals of Philosophy Seventh Edition” In chapter 10 on Appearance and reality, page 105. I came across the quote “Young people should not begin the study of philosophy because their interests are distracted by other things. Only in middle age, and after a rigorous study of mathematics, should one be allowed to pursue the discipline of philosophy.” I simply found this very interesting that the textbook itself is warning me that I should not be studying it because I will have issues with it.
We will see how this class goes. I wrote my first test in it today. I wonder…..
