It’s been awhile, here’s something I’ve been working on.

Wow it seems to have been quite awhile since I have posted anything. So I figure I should share something interesting I have been working on. This drawing is of a friend of mine, Kimberley Thompson. I am still fairly new to graphite drawing. I’d be happy to hear feedback.

Count On Me ~ Bruno Mars

This is a short song, but it says so much. It is rare to find a friend that will drop everything and show up to help friends in need.

Did you ever notice and get tired of the people who are superficial on the surface it is like they are afraid to dig deep and get to know someone. These are the people who you see every day, you say hello to them. But apart from knowing their name, and having heard a few rumors and observed from afar. You know virtually nothing about them. The odd thing is we tend to call these people friends. I do not think its from a lack of wanting to get to know them just a lack of opportunity.

Some people we can count on some we simply can't. The song talks about how a friend is supposed to be someone you can count on. I find in my life there are people who are known for always being busy. Always having something to do. But still they were there on a moments notice whenever I needed them. That is someone I call a friend. Everyone else is better known as an acquaintance. Someone that you know of, but know noting about.

I think also a willingness to help comes into it as well. If you have someone you call a really good friend and they are not willing to help or listen to you. They are not really a friend now. A friend will in the dead of night drop everything and come half way around the world for you. The thing is, I would never ask a friend to do that for me. That is what I call being a good friend in return. Showing more respect for someone than for your own wishes.

There is also a special kind of friendship. One that develops between a boy and a girl. You know where I am going with this. People try to rush this, it is simply not possible. There is no way you can know someone well enough in a short period of time to pull off a successful marriage. Now do not get me wrong its been done, and continues to be done. But I do not think it is wise.

“Hallelujah Chorus” ~ Handel

Hallelujah Chorus

I decided to refresh my memory of how the words of Hallelujah Chorus went. So I turned to the online movie database we all know and some of us can not live without. Here I looked up the song. I watched one rendition, and then another. I found versions where its a huge choir singing. And ones where it is just a group of high school kids. Out of all the different selections to choose from, I found the ones where there is a group of nuns, holding up signs as each word of the song is sung to be my favorite.

This song is such a classic you can not help but find thousands of renditions of it. It has all the elements of a good long lasting song. It speaks of God, and praises him. I can scarcely imagine what It will be like when this world passes away. To be up in heaven with thousands and thousands of angels singing this song. Just picture it if you can, let your imagination roam.

I have this picture in my head of what it will be like. I picture myself standing on a sea of glass. As far as I can see beneath my feet stretches an amazing clear ocean. Gathered around me are all the people of earth, a seeming-less infinitesimal speck compared to the grandeur and size of heaven. Drawing near are the hosts of angels coming to greet the children of earth - so long cut off from the brilliance of Gods glory. The throne of God comes into view, and the angels start to sing. They start to sing the Hallelujah Chorus. The sound is so loud the sea of glass under our feet seems to vibrate. As the throngs of voices build towards the chorus we can not help but join in. All of us together singing praises to God, may he and only he reign forever.

Man Up? – Are you kidding me! – A mans plea for some sanity.

A plea to the guys.

Man up? Are you kidding me!

Seriously people! You have got to be kidding me.

Today I came across a most interesting spectacle. While on a leisurely stroll I made my way over to the drama capital of the college: Lakeview.

Coming through the doors, a strange poster cough my eye.

I have heard the phrase, "Man up" mentioned in this place. I did not however understand, and curiosity strikes the simple. And I ask a friendly passer by. To clarify for me, the purpose of this plea. With his knowledge freshly gathered, the light of comprehension dawns. For those of you who may not know, what he said to me was this, "Some girls are trying to get, some guys to ask them out."

PLT Banquet fast approaches, and informed am I of this. As you may all be too.

Now as follows is my question, and my puzzle goes like this..... If you have to ask a man to ask, did you not just ask?

If you would just do what you want us to do, this world will be a simpler place!

Now I understand the thought, that some of you like to feel, to know to understand, we had specifically you in our thoughts. But a plea to ask. Is simply nothing but insanity, at its peek. (not peak, peek)

Any thoughts?
